The chest cavity

Holds the lungs, heart, and stuff tubes

Is also thoracic

White Cal Fire airplanes

Beside plumes of latte smoke

Diving towards fire

Leaves are turning red

Night is cold through the window

But days are springtime

Everyone is grown-up

Put-together and squared-away

And still pretending

Acting so confident

Walk straight, spine straight, and lazy

Trying to relax
