This is Emoticon Writer and Emoticon Love Interest. Emoticon Love Interest’s hair is the color of editor’s ink, and her hair band matches both Emoticon Writer’s laptop and his typewriter. Emoticon Love Interest met Emoticon Writer at a conference about something inconsequential; they both enjoy pausing awkwardly whenever they encounter each other, which happens often because Emoticon Love Interest is the receptionist at Emoticon Writer’s publisher.
